Celebrate Fahrenheit 451 April 1 to May 1, 2008
Ray Bradbury's classic is the selected text for The Big Read 2008 in South Dakota. All across the city, people are reading the science fiction book that has been a hit since it was first published in 1953.
Join Sioux Falls readers in a great lineup of special events celebrating The Big Read! A group of volunteers lined up a little music, a little socializing, a writing contest, book discussion groups and some book giveaways, all to get you interested in Fahrenheit 451.

Siouxland Libraries
Siouxland Libraries purchased 225 copies of Fahrenheit 451 for the community. Anyone who has a library card can check them out as long as they are in good standing with the library system. Siouxland Libraries also has two “Book Club to Go” bags for customers to reserve. Each bag has 12 copies of the book plus a guide. The bags check out for 8 weeks.
